Read the statements in the box entitled “How much expert helping do you do at work?” found in Chapter 2 “How can I be an effective coach or mentor?” of Coaching and Mentoring at Work.
Rate your numerical response to each statement on a scale of one to five, where a one is “Very unlike me, and a five is “Very much like me.”
Review the pattern of your responses and identify three words that seem to capture your approach to expert helping at work.
Write a 1-2 page paper in which you discuss your ratings for each statement, as well as the three words that capture your approach to expert helping at work. Include real-world examples that provide justification for your ratings and descriptive words.
