Numerous developmental theories exist. You may be prone to accept specific human development theories or aspects of theories more than others. As you work with children and adolescents, your personal view of human development will take shape. This view will likely center around one theory or combine aspects of several theories.
In this assignment, you will create a graphic organizer depicting concepts and principles of human development theories. Then, you will write a 3- to 5-page summary.
You will update your graphic organizer throughout the course. You can revise your opinions as you learn, noting research to support your changing views. You will submit an updated version of the graphic organizer with your Module 5 reflection assignment.
Step 1
Identify the theories of development discussed in Module 1 and list the key concepts related to each.
Separate the concepts related to each theory into different categories: those you find essential and those you find inadequate or incorrect.
Step 2
Use the format of your choice to create your graphic

The graphic organizer should allow you to condense a large amount of information. Select only the most important and most relevant elements for each part.

Review the ″Compare and Contrast″ writing skill video from the Media Gallery.
Step 4
In a 3- to 5-page summary, compare the main theories you used. Address the similarities and differences, and support your opinions of the theories. Use at least three scholarly resources to support your ideas, with APA in-text citations and a reference page.
Step 5
Add two files to File Upload:
• your 3- to 5-page summary, along with APA-formatted title and reference pages and
• your graphic organizer.
