Career Self Analysis Report
This report will analyze the conclusions drawn from the Self-Directed Search, Career
Assessment Questionnaire, and True Colors Assessment. You will write about yourself as if you
were the client. The report should be typed, double-spaced, and 3 to 8 pages in length. Divide the
paper into the following sections using these headings:
Background Information:
Age, sex, religion, educational background (GPA, experience in school, college, and their
major), and any other relevant information.
Presenting Problem: Describe the reason why the client is being assessed (A career-focused
question)
Behavior Observation and Behavior During Assessment:
Include mental status. How did the person act during the assessment? How did they seem to feel
about taking the assessments and questionnaire? Any reaction to any particular part of the
testing? Any interesting comments that they made? (Include these parts the bolded parts of ABC
STAMP LICKER
SDS code, Interests, skills, and abilities:
Overall SDS code and corresponding occupational category and major; perceived salient
strengths and weaknesses in various occupational skills and abilities.
Personality and Interpersonal Style:
Personality traits, salient emotional and occupational needs, conflicts, personality strengths, and
areas of growth. How does the person interact with other people?
Recommended Career Action Plan/ Summary:
Summary
Summarize and integrate the above conclusions to present a “total picture” of the client. What
recommendations can you make for this person? Respond to the presenting problem.
** NOTE: CITE SPECIFIC CAREER ASSESSMENT DATA to support the conclusions when
relevant. Remember, the most valid conclusions are supported by consistent patterns and
findings from the various tools used for this assessment. Pretend fellow psychologists a is going
to check your results and findings. Be technical and specific!
Along with the report, hand in any additional data points (If you used other assessments submit
those with your report).
