How is this Literature Review unique?
The literature reviews included in research studies generally conclude by identifying something specific that has not yet been fully explored to set the stage for new research that will expand this body of knowledge. Because of the compressed nature of this Capstone, your Literature Review will conclude with a more traditional summary. Your literature review for this course will also include a specific ethical analysis component. Here’s what to do:
Step 1: Review the Literature Review requirements
The rough publish of your Literature Review should include the following:
-At least 6-10 diverse scholarly sources
-At least one scholarly source must address your topic from a biopsychological perspective
-At least one scholarly source must address your topic from a lifespan or developmental psychology perspective
-The majority of your sources should be current (within the last 5 years)
-An introduction
-A focus on analysis and synthesis rather than summary or descriiption of article content.
-What are the key themes or topics of the research studies you have reviewed?
-A 1-2 paragraph discussion of the ethical dilemmas and social responsibilities inherent in your social justice issue
Note: This discussion of ethics need not be by theme/topic like the example provided in Step 2.
-A summary
Summarize the purpose of your research and the theories used to examine the social justice issue.
In your own words, what are the most prominent studies and findings related to your topic?
Based on your research what are your proposed strategies for reducing or eliminating your social justice issue?
If you have any questions after completing your research, you can also list those in your summary.
APA formatting
Depending on the number of scholarly sources used, your Literature Review should be approximately 2,000-2,500 words, and should not exceed 3,000 words. (Word counts exclude title pages, headers, and reference list.)
REMINDER: Your Literature Review should NOT include any discussion of the methodologies used in the studies you review.
