Assignment Description

The following mini video clip is from the 2001 film Wit. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyyGu5OUD-o&feature=youtu.be)
This movie is a based on a play but has a close correlation of what many patients facing a “terminally ill” condition go through. The main character is a teacher that has been diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and undergoes extensive treatment. If you haven’t seen the film, I highly suggest you watch it. Again, the movie portrays so many issues within healthcare but overall, how we treat each other, and the role communication plays with each interaction.
I ask that you view each clip in its entirety and they may seem insignificant, but if you really pay attention there is so much to pick up on that aligns with many of the communication concepts, we have covered from Chapters 1-13.
You are to type up a paper that provides an analysis on the mini clip. Your paper should follow the APA requirements along with include the following categories (concepts).
* The following concepts should be included in the case study analysis:
1. Summary of the case.
2. Identify various communication skills seen within each clip(s).
3. Describe environmental and personal factors that contributed to the quality of the communication within the clip(s).
4. Propose a solution to improve the communication tactics.
The paper should be between 1-2 pages of text (not including the reference page, which is required). For the reference page you are to have a minimum of 4 supportive credible sources. As a reminder, the credible sources can come from peer reviewed journal articles, government sites, and textbooks.
Sources from blogs, news papers or social media are NOT credible and NOT accepted. The following headings are required: Introduction, Discussion, Conclusion, Reference and subheadings are allowed to organize your paper. Again, the analysis paper MUST reflect American Psychological Association (APA) publication standards.

**If you notice a “title page” was not mentioned, so it is not required.
**no points are deducted if you go over the required # of pages.
