Module Introduction
This module addresses basic cyber security, risk assessment, and risk mitigation techniques employed in the healthcare environment. You will review regulations governing protected health information and meaningful use requirements for HIPAA. This module will include the basics of computer networks, the various types of networks, and general operation.
Learning Outcomes
Identify the various components of computer networks and how health information systems utilize them.
Analyze the scope of HIPAA and its relation to health care data and privacy.
Identify ways in which data is stored and how privacy compliance needs to be maintained and applied to all health care data.
