The purpose of the essay is to develop your critical thinking and writing skills, and learn how to apply a health psychology perspective to a particular health condition. The essay will also help you develop skills in learning how to read and synthesise material to develop specific arguments.

Topic: Focus on HIV infection and AIDS). Use your understanding of the biological, psychological, and social causes of that health condition to think about what risk factors you will focus on for part 1 of the essay (reducing the risk for developing your chosen health condition).
