Evolutionary Psychology: The purposes of this assignment post are to: (1) Understand what evolutionary psychology is, (2) Use evolutionary psychology to make predictions, (3) Discuss the accuracy of your predictions using evolutionary psychology with others, and (4) Share any thoughts you have about this sometimes controversial theory
Be sure to watch the Chapter 5 Video before doing this assignment. Note that the chart referred to right when I begin talking about evolutionary psychology is not in the 13th edition, so don’t worry about it.
Read the section in Chapter 5 in the Myers and DeWall textbook called “How We Are Influenced By Biology:
AFTER watching the video and reading the book, explain what evolutionary psychology is. Explain it as you would to someone completely unfamiliar with the theory.
