I enjoyed reading your post. In your ‘interesting learning and thoughts’ sections, you discussed the mixed methods approach. I am interested in that design as well. OK, I admit, when I am reading the articles for the assignments, I wonder how could this design have been mixed methods? I know that it depends on the goal or purpose of the study, but I still like to consider it. For example, thinking about the article for this week’s reading research literature worksheet, could there have been an element added to make it mixed methods? I wondered about comparing the number of times healthcare personnel went into resident rooms pre and post surveillance cameras. I never thought I would think this much about research designs. I like it!
