I was found taking photos of a patient electronic medical record on the computer

I was found taking photos of a patient electronic medical record on the computer thereby breaking HIPAA. So instructor requires me to write 6 page paper. This is very-very important for me. Instructions are uploaded.
HIPAA violation is e very serious issue in the USA and I’m lucky I’m allowed to continue studying in this program, but I have to write an excellent paper.
To explain the situation I would like to give some details: so we have to write “patient report” about the patient we are taking care of each week, and I was thinking to use that photos to write my patient information in very detailed way. The desire to write an excellent “patient report” causes me to do such a stupid thing and break HIPPA laws.
