Q. Why do you value them?
They give me the ability to understand, to be aware of, to besensitive to, and to vicariously experience the feelings, thoughts, and experiences of the patientand their family during my interactions with them.
Q. What are the values in your society?
Respect and Honesty. Mutual respect makes us humanespecially when we respect everyone, despite our differences. It is very vital for ourfunctionality. On the other hand, honesty is a necessary step to improve ourselves by admitting toour flaws. We all help each other become better.
Q. How do you make choices?
The best way to make a choice is by knowing what your goalsare. As nurses, it depends on the situation you’re in and the possible outcome in the best interestof the patient.
Q. Are your choices based on your values?
My choices are based on my values, but I am alsoopen minded based on my goal to achieve. At work, it is based on my values with the bestinterest of my patients.
Q. What values are useful in society?
Loyalty, this value binds us to a person, thing orsentiment. With loyalty, we do not betray. If we all shared loyalty, it would help us build thestrength needed to stand up against something that would harm our society.
Q. What are the limits to personal choice?
Our only limits to choices are the ability or inabilityto make them.
Q. Who limits your choices?
Today, we have way too many choices which is leading us tomaking no choices at all. We’re our own limits. Also, bureaucracy can limit our choices.
Q. Are limits to choices good?
Limiting choices is good in society and in private. Since toomany choices can sometimes lead to us making no choice, by limiting out choices, we canimprove our chances of deciding and then staying committed to that decision.
Q. Do you limit other people’s choices?
We as nurses are free and so are others, meaning thatwe are not free to control others. I personally cannot limit other people’ choices because theyhave their freedom to limit or not to limit their own if they so wish.
Q. Should the health care organization or the government limit people’s choices? If so, how, andunder what circumstances?
Yes. Some basic laws are meant to protect everyone for safety andwell-being. People have a choice to wear or not to wear a face mask. However, ss we can seetoday with the Codid-19 outbreak, if the government or healthcare organization mandate thewearing of masks of facial coverings, the spread could be reduced drastically.
