Teleconference
Students must arrange a joint teleconference with his or her preceptor and instructor. Together, the student, preceptor and instructor will discuss the development of individualized practice objectives and related experiences or opportunities and appropriate activities to accomplish those objectives. Following the teleconference, the student will submit a summary as proof of the communication. The report should summarize the teleconference including status of project objectives, progress on the project, and feedback from the preceptor and instructor.
(Meet yesterday with my instructor Dr. Orr and preceptor Dr. Williams and discussed my continouse project from Nursing Administration Practicum 1. In my first course, I gather a lot of information (the assessment phase) on 10 patients. My topic is the importance of managing fluid volume with dialysis patients. Comparing 10 patients (5 who is compliant and 5 who isn’t)… for this course, Nursing and Management I will start the implementation phase. Where my goal is to make a graph to compare the two, along with making educational phamhlets to use as an education guide, and my last goal/ objective is to attend the monthly board meeting where we discuss all patients that’s seen in the clinic to gather more educational information.

Every student’s practicum environment and preceptor are different; therefore, practicum objectives will vary for all students. Write 3-4 individualized measurable learning objectives that you will achieve during the next 8 weeks. All practicum activities should be directed towards accomplishing these set goals.
