A philosophy of nursing helps you identify the beliefs and theories that shape the choices you make on the job every day.
Outline of Items to Include: Define what Nursing means to you, Add a personal story that details your values and skills, Describe how you plan to impact society through your career, Highlight any additional values/skills that are important to you, What nursing theorist (Florence Nightengale, Virginia Henderson, Dorthea Orem etc..) has had the most influence on your philosophy and why, and how does your philosophy effect the patients environment, person, and health.
