(Integrated Reports – 50 points each
You will write two different integrated reports based on case data that I provide. You will be given a summary of background information and scores for completed assessments. Based on this information, you will write an integrated report that includes interpretation of the results integrated with case data. It is expected that your report be five to eight pages in length and you will use the following format (a sample report will be provided):
• Demographic Information
• Reason for Referral
• Evaluation Procedures
• List of Assessments Administered
• Behavioral Observations and Mental Status
• Background Information
o Family Background
o Educational and Employment History
o Medical History
o Mental Health History
o Substance Use History
o Legal History
• Current Life Situation
• Test Results
• Integrated Interpretation and Diagnosis
• Summary and Recommendations
The case data I provide will include information relevant for the behavioral observations, mental status, background, and current life sections. You may add to this info in your report, but do not change the information provided in the background (e.g., if a client is married, you can’t change their marital status to divorced).
Your report will be graded according to the following rubric:
• Adequacy and specificity of information in each component of the report (10 pts)
• Accurate interpretation of assessment data (15 pts)
• Integration of assessment results and case data to provide diagnosis (includes integration of assessment results and case data, rationale for diagnosis, accuracy of diagnosis) (15 pts)
• Clarity and mechanics of writing (e.g., grammar, clarity, appropriate use of terminology, etc.) Additional points may be deducted if there for extensive grammar or writing errors. (10 pts)
A reminder that your assessment reports should not include citations, as they are rarely included in a psychological assessment report. )
– BASC-3 Administration Brief Due – 4/5/23
(You will write two different assessment brief reports based on case data that I provide. You will be given a short summary of background information and scores for a completed assessment. Based on this information, you will write a brief summary of the results. Please note that your assessment reports should not include citations, as they are rarely included in a psych assessment report. It is expected that your report be one to two pages in length and the following information should be included:
• Demographic Information (1 point)
• Reason for Referral (1 points)
• Behavioral Observations and Background Info (3 points)
• Assessment Results (10 points):
o Validity Scales
o Clinical Scales
o Other Scales (if applicable)
• Integrated Summary and Recommendations (5 points)
In addition to accurate interpretation and communication of results, you will also be graded on the clarity and mechanics of your writing (e.g., grammar, clarity, appropriate use of terminology, etc.). Refer to the Schneider et al. (2018), book for more information on the clarity and mechanics of writing. Additional points may be deducted if there is particular difficulty with grammar. )
