Throughout your program, you have reviewed scholarly literature, theoretical frameworks, and different program models to understand and explain health behavior. Consider how these frameworks and models have been developed to protect and promote the health of individuals, communities, and populations.
In your initial post, address the following:
What theoretical framework or model applies to the health issue that your chosen policy or program addresses? How might this framework prove to be effective in helping reach the goals of the policy or program? Be sure to clearly specify the goals in your discussion.
What alternative theoretical frameworks or models could be applied to address the chosen public health issue in your community? Why might it prove to be effective?
In responding to your peers, comment on whether you believe the theoretical framework and/or model they have identified and discussed correlate with the goals they have identified. If not, offer suggestions for other theoretical frameworks or models that may be more appropriate. Discuss any strategies you are aware of to deal with the health issue that is addressed by your peer’s policy or program.
