Recent research suggests that narcissism has been increasing among college students in recent years. Search social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and look for evidence of narcissistic posts. This is not a controlled experiment, of course, but do you see evidence of narcissism on these sites? What about signs of caring for and empathy toward others—did you find evidence for these traits as well? Do your findings support those of the Twenge (2013) article you read?
