Assignment Requirements
For this assignment, you will complete this learning activity. The learning activity will walk you through completing a variety of tasks using the free cloud based OpenEMR. As you walk through the learning activity, you will be prompted to take a screenshot of your screen showing that you completed certain tasks in OpenEMR. As you take each screenshot, you will copy and paste the screenshot into a Microsoft Word document. You should complete the entire learning activity.
When prompted, log into OpenEMR using the following credentials: receptionist/receptionist (username/password)
At the end of the learning activity, you will have a Microsoft Word document with the following screenshots:
Screenshot #1: Task: Setup Appointment Matrix
Shows the 3 provider’s calendar schedule (start time, stop time, lunch break, and any other reserved times)
Screenshot #2: Scheduling a New Patient Appointment:
Shows the appointment added to the provider calendar for Megan Casper.
Screenshot #3: Updating Patient Information:
Shows the updated address information for Wanda Moore.
Screenshot #4: New Patient Intake Form:
Shows Megan Casper’s updated insurance information.
Screenshot #5 Encounter Summary Form:
Shows vitals, health history, chief complaint, and problem list, entered for Megan Casper.
In addition to the five screenshots, you will write a brief summary describing your experience using OpenEMR. The summary describing your experience should include features you found interesting and helpful about the EMR; challenges you had using the EMR and suggestions for improving those challenges.
Requirements:
You will submit the five screenshots and the brief summary in one Microsoft Word document.
Submitting your work:
Submit your assignment to the Assignment Dropbox.
Proper notification of any resubmission, repurposing, or reworking of prior work per the Purdue Global Student Coursework Resubmission, Repurposing, and Reworking Policy Resource.
