OVERVIEW
The first step in dissertation process is to develop an overall plan and identify a researchable question. This must be feasible as well. Ph.D. students should be able to explain how their research makes an original contribution to the body of knowledge in their discipline (Students may sometimes change their topic later as you engage fully in dissertation). Just tell what you like to study! What makes you wonder! Why do you want to study that topic?
