Locate an applicable social psychology journal. Select two years that are at least 20 years apart (for example, 1963 and 1997). Then select one issue from each (for example, issue 3 from 1963 and issue 6 from 1997).
In your narrative, please identify the journal that you reviewed and its area of specialty, if any, within social psychology. What were the most popular topics in the years you studied? What percentage of articles used participants who are college students? Were they predominantly male or female? Finally, examine methodology of the articles. Were the studies primarily experimental? Correlational? Were there any meta-analyses? Please remember to define experimental and correlational studies, meta-analysis, and any other research-based terms that you use.
