Module 3 Discussion: Analyzing Instructional Design Models and Culture in Determining the Teaching-Learning Process
According to Mastrian, McGonigle, Mahan, and Bixler (2011) “The instructional design process is a detailed, systematic process that takes into account the learner, the learning environment, the learning objectives, and the available resources” (p. 114). There are many instructional design models that one can use to develop an educational unit. In this course, each group is using the ADDIE Model of Instructional Design which is the foundation to most other designs.
For part one of this discussion, compare and contrast one of the following models below to the ADDIE model
Dick and Carey model
Smith and Ragan model
Morrison, Ross and Kemp model

Discuss why it is important to understand and incorporate gender, socioeconomic, and cultural attributes of the audience you would be teaching into your instructional design?
Choose one group: (Hispanic/Latino, Black/African American Culture, Asian/Pacific Islander Culture, American Indian/Alaskan Native Culture) and identify one teaching strategy that is most appropriate to meet the needs of your chosen group.
