Create a PowerPoint presentation (9-12 slides) that outlines the basic functions of the brain and nervous system. Please include speaker notes (at least 50-100 words per slide) to provide more detail for each response.
Be sure to address the following issues in your presentation:
Cellular Level
Identify the structure and function of neurons, microglia, oligodendrocytes, and astrocytes.
Explain the process of the action potential.
Explain the process of synaptic transmission.
Brain
Identify the major lobes of the brain and describe their function.
Identify AT LEAST ONE subcortical structure (e.g., basal ganglia, thalamus, hypothalamus, etc.) and describe its function.
Nervous System:
Illustrate the major divisions of the nervous system and identify the function of each division (central, peripheral, autonomic, sympathetic, parasympathetic, and somatic)
