The stakeholders in my community and in the healthcare system that will benefit from a program to reduce interruptions in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit would be able to buy-in if (Art, 2019):
1. A clear and concise explanation of the problem, including data that supports why reducing interruptions is important for patient care and outcomes.
2. An overview of potential solutions to reducing interruptions, such as implementing a no-interruption policy or setting up designated spaces for team members to work uninterrupted when needed.
3. Metrics to measure the success of any proposed solutions, such as assessing quality indicators before and after implementation or conducting surveys with staff members who are directly impacted by the interruption reduction initiatives.
4. A timeline outlining when each solution will be implemented and how long it will take until results can be seen from these changes.
5. Estimated costs associated with implementing these strategies, so stakeholders can understand what resources may need to be allocated in order to achieve success in this endeavor.
6. Identification of key stakeholders who should be consulted throughout the process so their feedback can help shape decisions being made about which strategies should ultimately be pursued and how they should best be executed for maximum effectiveness.
