Obtain a copy of and analyze your preceptor’s unit budget. What types of categories are listed and how are funds allocated? Think about the unit and the budget. Does it appear to have efficient resource utilization? Identify areas where modifications could be made. Look for categories in which you think you might be able to save costs (hypothetically, no sharing needed). Does anything stand out as an item in which grant funding could help? Describe to your peers what you feel will be the most important in making budget decisions in your future as a nurse leader. Note: If you are unable to get your preceptor’s unit budget, use one from your regular position or a generic one from the Internet. ( Urgent Care Setting Budget)

There are many ways to disseminate information in nursing as seen in your text, including through many different nursing journals. Think about your proposal and in what type of journal it might fit if it were published. Describe how you would disseminate your work and the reasons for your choice.
