• Students will identify significant historical nursing leaders in the United States and worldwide.
• Students will discuss their contribution to the nursing profession.
• Students will discuss the challenges faced as the historical nurse leaders promoted their platform.
• Students will discuss the relevance of their contribution to the delivery of nursing care today.
• Students will compare and contrast the role of the nurse leader to their perceived role.
Instructions: This is a 10-point assignment which is due at the beginning of week 3’s class. All students will identify a historical nurse leader (pioneer) from their textbook to complete this assignment. Please upload the completed assignment through the Blackboard Assignment Submission Site by the due date and time. To complete this assignment, you may use print or web sources. However, you MUST also:
1. Paraphrase from your identified source (no copy or paste).
2. Cite the source/reference used in your paper.
