This week we examined accreditation of facilities to help improve the quality of care. As part of this process, it is important that the healthcare providers in these facilities have the proper requirements to treat patients. For this assignment, review the Law of Practicing Healthcare Professions in the required reading section. You are tasked with publishing a paper to explain the processes and procedures required to ensure that a provider has the requisite training and education to treat patients. Be sure to include:
1Education and training requirements for licensure.
2Any testing or procedures to obtain licensure.
3How your facility should verify the healthcare providers’ qualifications.
4Any additional training a provider should receive and how the facility will ensure the provider is maintaining this.
5How credentialing relates to the accreditation process; and
6The impact of credentialing and accreditation on patient safety and facility well-being.
Your paper should meet the following structural requirements:
Four-to-five pages in length, not including the cover sheet and reference page.
Formatted according to APA 7th edition and Saudi Electronic University writing standards.
Provide support for your statements with in-text citations from a minimum of four scholarly articles. Two of these sources may be from the class readings, textbook, or lectures, but the other two must be external. The Saudi Digital Library is a good place to find these references.
