Pretend you are a “mad scientist” in the process of creating Frankenstein’s monster. To complete the “monster,” you must transplant a brain, however, you have run into a major problem- there are no whole brains available! Thus, you must now go to the local brain junkyard and create the monster’s brain, using ONLY 5 anatomical parts and 3 neurotransmitters!
Monster: an imaginary creature with human and/or animal features, that may include but is not limited to, being unusual, powerful, and/or extremely large in size.
First, decide on a type of monster. What behaviors, skills, and/or personality characteristics will the monster have?
Next, choose the 5 most important anatomical parts of the brain needed to get this monster going. Explain WHY these parts of the brain were chosen.
Identify and describe the functions of at least 3 neurotransmitters important in the creation of the monster’s brain.
Finally, just for fun, what is the monster’s name?
