Practice change project using cognitive behavioral therapy to treat depression in adults in an outpatient family clinic compared to traditional treatment, over 8-10 weeks
Translational Science Model and Project Management Plan:
Identify the theory or model that will serve as the framework for the project; translational science models are recommended.
Identify the primary concepts or steps of the model.
Create the steps in your DNP practice change project that coincide with the theoretical concepts.
Create your project implementation plan that includes the timeline of weeks for the project (usual projects are 8-10 weeks, keeping in mind the requirement to implement the intervention for at least eight weeks).:
Use the research articles to guide your intervention implementation plan. Create a detailed descriiption of each step in the intervention implementation. Describe in detail how each participant will engage with the intervention from the beginning to the end of the intervention. Discuss who will implement the intervention, who will receive the intervention, when, where, and how. The intervention implementation must be a full eight weeks while the project implementation might be 8 to 10 weeks.
Include the plan for the pre-and post- summative data collection.
Include the weekly plan for the formative evaluation to ensure high intervention fidelity. Develop a week-to-week formative evaluation plan utilizing observation, 1:1 discussions, huddles, leadership meetings, or other processes to describe your project management oversight during implementation.
For each step or activity in the intervention plan, identify the intervention week in which that activity will occur.
Plans for Sustainability:
Create your detailed plan to sustain the project over time.
Identify the specific strategies used to ensure the project has ongoing evaluation and modification as needed to ensure its success after your implementation phase is complete.
