Teens are sometimes very short in their answers, so make sure you ask follow up questions or restate the question so you get enough information for your interview. This is part of developing your interview skill. You are welcome to add other questions related to the subject of friendship. If you do so list the questions in your report.

This section is the heart of your creative work. You need to determine if the child’s responses confirm or refute the material on peer relationships presented in the literature. Support your assessment with interview answers and observations you made during the interview. If you believe the person’s behavior is typical for the age group you need to specify behavior/responses that indicate age appropriate development and reference a resource you used to identify age appropriate development. You need to demonstrate that you are aware of patterns of friendship and how they change over time. This is the most critical part of your assignment. Feel free to offer your own interpretation of your subjects responses, including comments on how you yourself might have answered the questions. Make sure you cite at least one reference that you have used to determine age appropriate relationship patterns. The content needs to focus on friendship patterns and information you collected through your interview, do not digress to other topics like identity development, cognitive development etc. unless they relate directly to friendship patterns. (Use APA-guidelines for citation!!).
