In Week 14 of this course, you will submit a paper on a health promotion topic of your choice. To help you get started and keep on track with your research and writing, you will submit milestone assignments in Weeks 8, 9, and 11, before submitting your complete paper in Week 14. These submissions are listed in the table below.
This week, you will submit the introduction to your health promotion paper, the topic of which you selected in Assignment 8.1: Health Promotion Paper—Topic.
Your introduction should contain the following components:
Statement of the purpose of the paper in the introductory paragraph
Name and description of the health promotion topic area
Objective(s) and significance of the topic
Summary of present data trends related to the topic at national level
Description of the target population (age, race/ethnicity, rural/urban, disabilities, risk factors, disparities, etc.)This week, you will submit the literature review for your health promotion paper, the introduction to which you submitted in Week 9 (Assignment 9.1: Health Promotion Paper—Introduction). Your literature review will be graded by your instructor as well as reviewed anonymously by one of your peers. You, too, will be assigned to review the work of one of your
classmates. The aim here is not only to learn from the feedback received and the peer-review process but ultimately to incorporate that learning into the complete paper that you’ll Part 1 of this assignment entails submission of your literature review. It must be completed before proceeding to Part 2.Steps to Complete Part 1: Literature ReviewInclude the introduction that you submitted in Week 9 to provide context.
Utilize as references a minimum of three peer-reviewed publications to examine at least one recommended intervention relevant to your health promotion topic.
Discuss how the intervention(s) supports your health promotion topic, based on the references cited.
Organize into distinct sections (minimally: introduction, literature review, references).
Follow APA format and style throughout, including citation of references.

It cannot be completed before completing Part 1. After you have submitted your literature review and the due date for submission has passed, you will receive notification via email of your peer review assignment.
