Outcome 1: Discuss the importance of historical events and initiatives and their influence on global health issues to understand current and anticipate future healthcare trends based on changing demographic trends, emerging technologies, and disease burdens.
Outcome 4: Analyze diverse healthcare systems to evaluate their impacts on the health of populations.
This assignment is the first part of a three-part paper assignment. Students will select a low-income country of interest. The purpose of this assignment is for the student to introduce the country of interest. The student will describe the selected country. The students will also discuss in this abstract the historical influences, health systems, economy, and policies that affect the health of the county’s population; relevant international policies can also be discussed if applicable. The abstract should be 1-2 pages outlining the paper’s purpose. Please do not submit more than the required number of pages. This does not include your title page and reference sheet. Please see the assignment outline listed below. Your two-page paper must include the following. Please remember to use APA 17th edition for all written work.

3) Health Care Systems
a) Describe the country’s health policy and healthcare funding mechanism
b) Examine how the chosen country’s health systems impact populations’ health.
c) Discuss any issues related to infrastructure, health care workforce, equipment, medications, etc.
