Watch a Global Health Movie/Documentary
Watch the correct movie.
Unseen Enemy is a feature-length documentary about the threat of epidemics in the 21st century and what we can do to fight them. Unseen Enemy addresses because in the 21st century we are experiencing a rash of diseases that were once outbreaks but have become full-blown epidemics.

In this activity, you will watch a movie related to a global public health topic and submit a 500 words short essay, double spaced correctly incorporating ≥ 5 global public health vocabulary words/terms and/or concepts and highlighting the terms by making them bold and Underlining it.

10% for writing a clear, grammatically correct essay with no spelling errors.
85% for correctly incorporating ≥ 5 public health vocabulary words/terms and/or concepts highlighting the terms by making it bold and Underlining it (e.g., epi triangle, surveillance, Prevalence, Emerging Infectious disease, etc.) and explaining how it relates to the course topics we are learning in the class, what determinants we need to consider, a) prevent the emergence of the infectious diseases (e.g., personal responsibility and hygiene, proper use of antibiotics, etc.), b) prepare for the future emerging infectious diseases (e.g., stocking up on PPE, being in the ready state of vaccine or medicine development, etc.).
5% for properly naming the file and including the name at top of the typed document.

An annotated bibliography is a list of secondary resources such as books, articles, and documents you evaluate to use for the final essay. This document contains two parts; Part 1: a list of your sources in APA format (alphabetical by author’s name). Part 2: the summary and the evaluation of the source. The assessment is based on the reliability, biases, relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited. For more information on how to create and format an APA style bibliography refer to Ryerson’s guide and
Purdue Online Writing guide.
First, you will narrow down a topic for your essay. Second, you will generate an annotated
bibliography based on this topic. The annotated bibliography must contain a minimum of 7 primary scientific references. Each source should be summarized and evaluated in 100-150 words. Examples of an APA annotated bibliography can be found here. The title of the annotated bibliography must be the chosen topic of the final essay (maximum 1000 words).

• Read Queuing Chapter in the readings folder.
• Answer Question 1 on Page 19 using complete sentences with units. For example, when asked to determine the average utilization of the ORs, your answer should be: “The utilization of the ORs is…”

As a student of healthcare quality management, it is vital that you are able to identify problems that arise in healthcare organizations and propose strategies for their improvement. A critical part of this process requires you to be familiar with quality and accreditation standards and navigate the communication channels of the organization.
For your summative assignment, you will identify a departmental problem within a healthcare organization and develop a collaborative performance improvement initiative to address it. Ideally, the proposed evidence-based solution will serve to improve the departmental problem, thus contributing to the overall success of the healthcare organization. The project is divided into three milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules Two, Four, and Six. The final product will be submitted in Module Seven.
In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:

Milestones
Milestone One: Identify Organizational Problem
In Module Two, first, you will identify a problem in a healthcare organization. You may use a problem from your organization or a problem from a fictional organization. This milestone is graded with the Milestone One Rubric.
Milestone Two: Initiative Proposal
In Module Four, you will build upon the work you completed on milestone one. In this milestone, you will propose an improvement plan that focuses on the problem you selected in Milestone One. If you chose a problem in your workplace, be sure to use data from that healthcare organization; if you created a hypothetical healthcare organization, you might use a public domain database with instructor permission. Next, you will develop an implementation plan for the problem that you are focusing on. Then, you will discuss the predicted success of the performance improvement plan after implementation. This milestone is graded with the Milestone Two Rubric.
Milestone Three: Implementation of Performance Initiative
In Module Six, you will implement your performance improvement plan. Also, you will discuss what success of the performance improvement plan will look like. If you choose a problem in your workplace, be sure to use data from that healthcare organization. If you created a hypothetical healthcare organization, you might use a public domain database with instructor permission. This milestone is graded with the Milestone Three Rubric.
Final Submission: Organizational Performance Initiative
In Module Seven, you will submit your final project. The final project should be a complete, polished paper containing all of the items listed on the grading rubric. Your paper should show that you have applied all of the instructor feedback. This submission is graded with the Final Project Rubric.
What to Submit
Your organizational performance initiative should be 8–10 pages in length; however, the quality of this submission is much more important than the length. All resources must be appropriately cited in APA format.

This is a concept map assignment that reflects on the overall classwork I have done. To prepare:
You will receive a set of patient scenarios from your Instructor. Review each of the three patient scenarios provided. Identify each patient as high, intermediate, or low risk.
Consider patient education needs and strategies for each patient, as well as what the informed consent for each procedure would be.
A 60-year-old female with no previous cardiac history, except for preoperative for stratification for a new murmur, is sent to you. An echocardiogram is performed demonstrating an ejection fraction of 60%, and severe aortic stenosis. Her proposed surgery is a total knee replacement.

A 25-year-old male is sent to you for preoperative risk stratification. His proposed surgery is an emergency cholecystectomy. He is active and has no exertional symptoms playing basketball for over an hour 3 times weekly. He has no previous cardiac, medical, or surgical history.
A 75-year-old female with a history of coronary artery disease with previous CABG and PCI, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia is sent to you for preoperative risk stratification. Her proposed surgery is hip replacement. You are unable to assess her functional status due to hip pain, which renders her mobility challenged. Her previous echocardiogram demonstrates an ejection fraction of 55–60% with no wall motion abnormality. She has no active anginal or exertional symptoms.
