The target population is on African Americans who suffer from sleep apnea are between 30-50 year old and worked in the MTA system in the Bronx, NY.

CHP 430W is a writing intensive course and as such, the student is required to draft and submit a term paper with the following criteria. Project Paper (25% of total grade): 100 points (with YouTube video presentation for speech credit).
The student will prepare a 10-page paper with a 3000 word minimum.
The cover page, abstract, and references do not count in the 10-page requirement.

Topic
The purpose of this paper is for students to research, learn and write about specific elements of a
health care worker’s career. Students are recommended to choose the health care worker in the
field they are planning to enter. Examples of paper topics include: Registered Nurse, Diagnostic
Medical Sonographer, Dental Hygienist, Physician Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Massage
Therapist, Radiographic Technologist, etc. The Miami Dade College Campus’s (Medical
Campus) Library has resources dedicated to these careers. Do not choose physicians or dentists,
as a topic as this paper is not designed for those careers.

As you have read there are a number of factors that can cause damage during the prenatal stages. These teratogenic effects vary a great deal from individual to individual. Of course, this can be affected by the timing, duration and the amount of exposure. In addition, when a developing child is exposed to a combination of teratogens they can interact to increase the likelihood of developmental damage.
The question for you to consider is: If given the opportunity to warn a pregnant woman (or a group of pregnant women) about the dangers of one particular teratogen, which teratogen would you choose? In your post, you should use and cite information at least 2 sources (from your readings and/or outside sources) to justify your choice. I encourage you to think about this question at both the individual and societal/cultural levels. What that means is that although it is perfectly reasonable to consider which substance/situation has been shown to impact an individual’s development greatest, it is also important to consider other things like the availability of the substances and how knowledgeable the masses are about the dangers of a particular teratogen. For example, even if you think that plutonium is the substance that has the potential to cause the greatest developmental problems, the fact that we are highly unlikely to come into contact with it may justify choosing something else.

As an idealistic, newly degreed Healthcare professional, you want to be all things to all people.
1) You want to open more access to healthcare.
2) You want the care to be of high quality.
3) You want the care to be affordable.
Discuss if these three goals are really achievable, and, if not, what programmatic changes might be made to help accomplish each of the three components. This is very topical, given the struggle in the USA to deal with healthcare and health insurance challenges.
