Chapter 9: Infection Prevention and Control
    The Cycle of Infection
Step 1 Browse through medical or popular journals (health and fitness magazines, women’s
magazines, science magazines, etc.) and write a brief abstract (summary) of an article
that describes a disease you find interesting.
Step 2 Create a “Cycle of Infection” poster on a separate sheet of paper, similar to
Figure 9-1 in the text, but adding notations that identify the following
factors within the cycle of infection, as it applies to the specific disease you
    chose in Step 1:
    ∙ Infectious organisms
    ∙ The reservoir of infection
    ∙ The susceptible host
    ∙ Transmission of disease

i will attach the whole course material ,so you can read and make a use in the assignment . Ialso provide example of good oped assignment ,type in your search bar and read them .
    OP Ed Assignment
Consider this final assignment to be a culminating activity that will draw on your knowledge of and connection to assigned readings, class dialogue, and personal reflections on early childhood education and care policy. You are expected to include references to and quotes from course readings as well as at least three (3) outside references to current literature/research.
This is an opportunity for you to write on an early learning and child care policy issue that you are passionate about, but in a manner that educates and informs the reader, for the purpose of advocacy. You may choose to delve deeper into the policy issues you addressed in your “If I were the Minister of Education…” introduction post. The purpose of an op ed is to garner support and change opinions within a very short paper. Therefore, it is imperative that the prose must be succinct, authoritative, and use professional (but not overly academic) language that conveys expertise in the area.
    What is an Op Ed?
An op-ed (originally short for “opposite the editorial page” although often taken to stand for “opinion editorial”) is a written prose piece typically published by a newspaper or magazine which expresses the opinion of a named author, usually not affiliated with the publication’s editorial board.
    Good Op-Ed examples:
Merenda, Elena. “Modernized sex-ed empowers kids to have control over their bodies.” Globe and Mail. 23 August 2018.
Couto, Joe. “Between two worlds: gay cops and Pride.” The Star. 24 June 2018.
Vaccarino, Franco. “Legal Cannabis is Coming. Let’s Make Sure We’re Educated About the Risks.” Globe and Mail. 14 March 2018.
    Format and Submission
Your paper should be 800 words, double-spaced (Times New Roman, 12 pt. font) and include a title page and a references page. Any sources referenced should be in APA style. Third person perspective is required for an authoritative voice.
Submit your paper to the Dropbox folder: Op Ed Assignment. You can access the folder through the Dropbox link located in the top navigation bar.
    Grading
Your paper will be marked based on the University of Guelph-Humber defined grading standards using the following rubric.
    PART 2
Prepare a short (3-5 sentences) descriptive paragraph concerning your Op Ed topic for our final culminating Discussion Activity – Unit 12. This descriptive paragraph will become the basis for our final discussion. Be sure to include the thesis statement and the high points of your paper; be sure to explain where you found your information and state implications and conclusions

THIS IS FOR APPLIED BEHAVIOURAL ANALYSIS
    1) Choose an intervention from the Effective or Emerging Effectiveness category of the
National Standards Report (Phase 1 or Phase 2 or Parent Guide). Find an article that
researches/applies this intervention in a peer-reviewed journal accessed through the NSCC
    Library Database.
    2) Summarize the method and results of the article.
    3) Evaluate the research article for the following dimensions of ABA (see rubric for detailed
    breakdown):
    o Applied
    o Behavioural
    o Analytic
    o Technological
    o Effective
    o Conceptually Systematic
    o Generality

between 2-3 pages, using 12 pt. font and double spacing and using 1-inch margins on all sides.
You can discuss the dimensions of ABA in any order that makes sense for your summary but do
not assume I know which dimension you are describing – specifically state it. Alternatively, you
can create a heading for each dimension/section and write your summary below (whatever
helps you organize your summary and evaluate all 7 dimensions). This should be written in the
format of a paper – not question and answer
