Review cost comparison compared to previous year
Provide your interpretation of the statement – how well is the organization.
Balance Sheet Review:Review Assets
Review Liabilities
Describe the financial health of the balance sheet
Review Financial Ratios CalculationsCurrent Ratio
Debt-to-equity Ratio
Working Capital Ratio
Make a recommendation to lease or finance the capital item. Please support your decision with financial data.
Your presentation should meet the following structural requirements:
Be 10-12 slides in length, not including the title or reference slides.
Be formatted according to Saudi Electronic University and APA writing guidelines.
Provide support for your statements with citations from a minimum of ten scholarly articles. These citations should be listed in the Notes section of the slide in which they appear. Two of these sources may be from the class readings, textbook, or lectures, but six must be external.
Each slide must provide detailed speaker’s notes to support the slide content. These should be a minimum of 100 words long (per slide) and must be a part of the presentation. LITERATURE REVIEWSelect publications that you can relate to your AIM.
Analyze—how does a study relate to your topic and what components don’t—service area, geography, age bands, ethnicity or how the variables studied are aligned with your aim. Don’t try to make your studies fit. Do read the articles carefully for content, applicability and strength—population size, inclusion criteria, control of variables, etc.
Synthesize—several pubs will tell you the same thing—summarize those; cite each behind the statement and identify which ones said something different. Don’t be linear about the lit review.
No meta-analysis
At least 25 current references—unless you are citing a seminal publication, i.e.—NIH, NAM, CDC, etc.
No dot coms and very few select dot orgs—gov ok—and if dot orgs are representing scholarly work, such as professional orgs which employ double-blinded peer review. Think how these organizations might perpetuate their mission? —it helps to identify bias. -

Gastrointestinal Function:
R.H. is a 74-year-old black woman, who presents to the family practice clinic for a scheduled appointment. She complains of feeling bloated and constipated for the past month, some-times going an entire week with only one bowel movement. Until this episode, she has been very regular all of her life, having a bowel movement every day or every other day. She reports straining most of the time and it often takes her 10 minutes at a minimum to initiate a bowel movement. Stools have been extremely hard. She denies pain during straining. A recent colonoscopy was negative for tumors or other lesions. She has not yet taken any medications to provide relief for her constipation. Furthermore, she reports frequent heartburn (3–4 times each week), most often occur-ring soon after retiring to bed. She uses three pillows to keep herself in a more upright position during sleep. On a friend’s advice, she purchased a package of over-the-counter aluminum hydroxide tablets to help relieve the heartburn. She has had some improvement since she began taking the medicine. She reports using naproxen as needed for arthritic pain her hands and knees. She states that her hands and knees are extremely stiff when she rises in the morning. Because her arthritis has been getting worse, she has stopped taking her daily walks and now gets very little exercise.
Case Study Questions
In your own words define constipation and name the risk factors that might lead to develop constipation. List recommendations you would give to a patient who is suffering from constipation. You might use a previous experience you might have.
Based on the clinical manifestations on R.H. case study, name and explain signs and symptoms presented that are compatible with the constipation diagnosis. Complement your list with signs and symptoms not present on the case study.
Sometimes as an associate diagnosis and a complication, patients with constipation could have anemia. Would you consider that possibility based on the information provided on the case study?
Endocrine Function:
C.B. is a significantly overweight, 48-year-old woman from the Winnebago Indian tribe who had high blood sugar and cholesterol levels three years ago but did not follow up with a clinical diagnostic work-up. She had participated in the state’s annual health screening program and noticed that her fasting blood sugar was 141 and her cholesterol was 225. However, she felt “perfectly fine at the time” and could not afford any more medications. Except for a number of “female infections,” she has felt fine until recently. Today, she presents to the Indian Hospital general practitioner complaining that her left foot has been weak and numb for nearly three weeks and that the foot is difficult to flex. She denies any other weakness or numbness at this time. However, she reports that she has been very thirsty lately and gets up more often at night to urinate. She has attributed these symptoms to the extremely warm weather and drinking more water to keep hydrated. She has gained a total of 65 pounds since her last pregnancy 14 years ago, 15 pounds in the last 6 months alone.
Case Study Questions
In which race and ethnic groups is DM more prevalent? Based on C.B. clinical manifestations, please compile the signs and symptoms that she is exhibiting that are compatible with the Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 diagnosis.
If C.B. develop a bacterial pneumonia on her right lower lobe, how would you expect her Glycemia values to be? Explain and support your answer.
What would be the best initial therapy non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic to be recommended to C.B?
Submission Instructions:
You must complete both case studies.
Your initial post should be at least 500 words each case, formatted and cited in current APA style with support from at least 2 academic sources. -

My topic is diabetes mellitus type 2: prevention, and please use the resources from the attachment I uploaded on diabetes. There is other resources listed in there that you can use as well. Let me know if you have any questions. PICOT is an acronym used to help develop clinical research questions and guide you in your search for evidence. Finding the right answers requires the right questions. The PICOT format will help you construct questions that will likely lead to effective searches, the best available evidence of interventions, and the meaningfulness of patient experiences.
P = Patient population
I = Intervention or issue of interest
C = Comparison of interventions or comparison of interests
O = Outcome
T = Time frame (this element is not always included)*
For example, you may wish to research the effects of interrupted sleep on cognition of ICU patients 65 or older.
Using this PICOT model,
In __________(P), how does __________ (I) compared to _________ (C) influence _________ (O) over ________ (T)?
In ICU patients who are 65 or older, how does interrupted sleep (awakened one time or more in four hours) as compared to uninterrupted sleep influence the patient’s cognitive ability over 5 days?
Questions of meaningfulness and effectiveness relate to how people experience an intervention or phenomenon.
What is the effectiveness of using a turn schedule (I) versus an audible public address reminder (C) on the incidence of pressure ulcers (O) in elderly patients in LTAC who require turning (P)?
*Not all studies will have a time frame. This is optional to include as part of your PICOT.
Assignment Directions
Begin by selecting a topic in nursing that is of interest to you. Next, use PICOT to format a possible research question about that topic. Provide 1 possible PICOT research question. Find 1 quantitative or qualitative peer-reviewed research article related to your nursing topic that was published within the last 5 years. Reminder: All peer-reviewed research articles have methods, discussion, and results sections. Upload the article with your paper in PDF or Word format. This source can be used again in the Week 4 article assignment if it meets the criteria.
See PICOT Formatting Guide Download PICOT Formatting Guideor pages 249-257 in your book for additional help with formatting your PICOT.
Include the following:
Title page
Provide a brief description of the topic and background information (see page 37 of your textbook). You can use your text, your peer-reviewed journal source, or the EBP care sheets in CINAHL or Nursing Reference Center Database.
Explain the significance of the topic to nursing practice (see chart on page 37 of your textbook). Background information can be found in journal articles in the introduction section. Results and conclusions will speak to significance of the topic. The EBP care sheets may have sources for you to choose from.
Provide 1 clearly-stated PICOT question.
Include 1 peer-reviewed journal source related to your topic.
The chosen topic and PICOT will be used for your Week 9 poster assignment. It will also guide your article searches in Week 4 on which you will complete appraisals in Week 6.
Your paper should:
Be 2–3 pages (not including the title page and reference page)
Use current APA format to style your paper and to cite your source.
There will be a 5 point deduction if peer-reviewed research journal article is not used and a 5 point deduction if the article is not included with your submission.
Review the rubric for further information on how your assignment will be graded.
