Although you will be utilizing websites for information to answer the questions, you do still need to follow the rubric related to resources–incorporation of your text, another provided resource from the lecture materials, and a peer-reviewed journal article that you find in the literature. The lecture materials provide a great foundation to understanding bills, your legislators, advocating, etc. that you can incorporate into your questions. As an example, you might use your resources when providing the rationale of why you chose the legislator to contact.
You will need an in-text citation to support your discussion for questions 1, 2, & 3; however, an intext citation is not needed for your recording (question 4). Just as for your letter assignment, you can state a resource, such as “According to the CDC, …” However, there are not intext citations or resources in the reference list for the recording. Please let your instructor or I know if you have any questions. Discussion Board Items—Refer to Discussion Board Guidelines and Grading Rubric as you complete these items. (The expectations are outlined in the syllabus and Module 0)
Identify your legislators for the state and national level. Please include the name of your state, district numbers for both your state level representatives and senators, as well as those on the national level. To respond to this item, you will have two US senators, one US Congressman, one state senator and one state representative.
Identify one contemporary health care issue. Go to gov, (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site., click Legislation at the very top, then check the current Congress on the left margin. Or you can look at your state level legislative site to search for current bills. Look for bills that are related to your practice issue. Choose the bill that you will use for your Letter to Legislator Assignment. Outline the components of the bill. Choose one of your representatives as you identified in question. Go to either your state website or back to Congress.gov and see which committees your legislator is on and/or what their policy interests are—this is helpful in choosing which legislator to approach for assistance. Be specific and share what committees he/she is on and/or their policy interests…not all of them, but the ones that relate to your rationale. Explain why you chose the legislator to contact for your chosen bill. Record a short audio recording or video (3 minutes or less) of how you would discuss your health care issue and bill if you had the opportunity to meet with your legislator. Include the following information:Introduce yourself—name, nurse, constituent.
Briefly discuss the health care issue, bill, and outline the social, ethical, and economic impact of the issue related to health policy.
Request support or opposition of the bill

I am required to write a paper on a medical subject; I chose the title above.
The paper must be at least 12 pages long, not including title or reference pages.
All citations and references must be in 7th APA.
I had to have my references pre-approved; “additional sources” are allowed but the only references allowed are the 8 approved which I’ve attached in a PDF here.
They are HEAVILY monitoring and filtering this assignment for use of AI.
Here are some requirements from the instructor:
“The introduction sets the stage for the rest of the paper. Introduce your topic, a thesis statement (the purpose of your research), background for the topic, and 3-4 subtopics included in the research. The Introduction should also include a statement of relevancy why this subject is significant to the EMS field medic.
Literature Review
The literature review summarizes critical findings of other authors who have published documents related to the subject matter. If appropriate, this section may also include a summary of any interviews the author conducted with experts in the area of the subject, or patients. Interviews are cited in the text but not included in the reference section. Be sure that direct quotes substantially relate to the topic. Every quotation should be backed up by a few sentences of your own related to the quotation (which in turn is related to the thesis statement). Be advised that when you paraphrase a source you must provide a citation and a reference. The sources you use in your literature review (and elsewhere in the paper) must be included in the references and every reference must have a corresponding citation. This is analogous to a key and a lock; you need both for the set to be complete. Do not use excessive quotations! You may only have two long quotations (40-80 words, formatted in a special way).
Discussion
The discussion section includes the interpretation, analysis and explanation of the literature reviewed. It should include the key findings and whether the literature reviewed supported or contradicted the thesis statement. If not supported, or if only partially so, include what was found and what could be learned from the results. Include any unexpected findings or any unanswered questions or areas that need further research. Note any shortcomings of the studies reviewed. Do not include personal experiences, nor a repetition of the abstract.
Conclusion
The conclusion is briefer than the discussion portion and ties it all together. Include the importance of the topic as related to prehospital medicine, any recommendations for change or future research and implications that might be drawn.
Abstract
The abstract is a brief summary of the major findings. It includes the purpose and main points of the research, procedures, results, and recommendations. It is written after the paper is completed and is normally no more than 150-200 words. The abstract, while written last, is the first page after the title page and is on a page by itself. The abstract is intended to be a “hook” so the reader will want to read the paper. Do not indent the abstract paragraph and do not repeat the abstract elsewhere in your paper. Note: The prospectus is a statement of what you plan to do and is not included in the abstract or elsewhere in the paper. The abstract reflects what you found in your research (planning vs results) and is not repeated elsewhere in your paper.”
Here are my goals of research, prospectus, and introductory sentence, etc:

Write a 4-5 page evidence-based proposal to support the need for a nurse informaticist in an organization who would focus on improving health care outcomes.
IntroductionAs you begin to prepare this assessment, you are encouraged to complete the Team Perspectives of the Nurse Informaticist activity. Completion of this will help you succeed with the assessment as you explore the nurse informaticist’s role from the different perspectives of the health care team. Completing activities is also a way to demonstrate engagement.
Nurses at the baccalaureate level in all practice areas are involved in nursing informatics through interaction with information management and patient care technologies. Nurses must not only demonstrate knowledge of and skills in health information and patient care technologies, but also how to use these tools at the bedside and organizational levels. Moreover, nurses need to recognize how information gathered from various health information sources can impact decision making at the national and state regulatory levels.
ScenarioFor this assessment, assume you are a nurse attending a meeting of your state’s nurses association. A nurse informaticist conducted a presentation on her role and its impact on positive patient and organizational outcomes in her workplace. You realize that your organization is undergoing many technological changes. You believe this type of role could provide many benefits to your organization.
You decide to pursue proposing a nurse informaticist role in your organization. You speak to your chief nursing officer (CNO) and human resources (HR) manager, who ask you to prepare a 4–5 page evidence-based proposal to support the new role. In this way, they can make an informed decision as to whether the addition of such a role could justify the return on investment (ROI). They need your proposal before an upcoming fiscal meeting. This is not an essay, but instead, it is a proposal to create a new Nurse Informaticist position.
One important part of this assessment is the justification of the need for a nurse informaticist in a health care organization and references from relevant and timely scholarly or professional resources to support the justification for creating this nurse informaticist position. The term justify means to show or prove that the nurse informaticist position brings value to the organization. This justification must include evidence from the literature to support that this position will provide a return on investment for the organization.
PreparationTo successfully prepare for this assessment, you will need to complete these preparatory activities:
Review assessment resources and activities.Conduct independent research on the nursing knowledge and skills necessary to interact with health information and patient care technology.
Focus your research on current resources available through peer-reviewed articles, professional websites, government websites, professional blogs, wikis, job boards, and so on.
Consult the BSN Program Library Research Guide for help in identifying scholarly and authoritative sources.
Interview peers in your network who are considered information technology experts.Ask them about how information technology advances are impacting patient care at the bedside, at the organizational level, and beyond.
Proposal FormatThe chief nursing officer (CNO) and human resources (HR) manager have asked you to include the following headings in your proposal and to be sure to address the bullets following each heading:
Nursing Informatics and the Nurse InformaticistWhat is nursing informatics?
What is the role of the nurse informaticist?
Nurse Informaticists and Other Health Care OrganizationsWhat is the experience of other health care organizations with nurse informaticists?
How do these nurse informaticists interact with the rest of the nursing staff and the interdisciplinary team?
IMPACT OF FULL NURSE ENGAGEMENT IN HEALTH CARE TECHNOLOGY
How does fully engaging nurses in health care technology impact:Patient care?
Protected health information (security, privacy, and confidentiality)? In this section, you will explain evidence-based strategies that the nurse informaticist and interdisciplinary team can use to effectively manage patients’ protected health information, particularly privacy, security, and confidentiality. Evidence-based means that they are supported by evidence from scholarly sources.
Workflow?
Costs and return on investment?
Opportunities and ChallengesWhat are the opportunities and challenges for nurses and the interdisciplinary team with the addition of a nurse informaticist role? How can the interdisciplinary team collaborate to improve quality care outcomes through technology?
Summary of RecommendationsWhat are 3–4 key takeaways from your proposal about the recommended nurse informaticist role that you want the CNO and the HR manager to remember? This is the section where the justification for the implementation of the nursing informaticist role is addressed. Remember to include evidence from the literature to support your recommendation.
Additional RequirementsWritten communication: Ensure written communication is free of errors that detract from the overall message.
Submission length: 4–5 double-spaced pages, in addition to title and references pages.

Answer this prompt based on the notes provided as an attachment. The purpose of this activity is to appraise the role of nursing in creating a safe patient environment through nursing led interventions. As the largest health system workforce in the world, nurses are the single most significant contributors to patient safety and outcomes. Literature suggests that quality of care depends to a large degree on nurses (Kane et al., 2007; Lacey and Cox, 2009; Landon et al., 2006; Sales et al., 2008). The Joint Commission, the leading independent accrediting body for health care organizations, believes that “the future state of nursing is inextricably linked to the strides in patient care quality and safety that are critical to the success of America’s health care system, today and tomorrow” (Joint Commission, 2010). While quality measures have historically focused on conditions or diseases, many of the quality measures used over the past 20+ years address how well nurses are able to do their jobs.
The role of the professional nurse has many facets. This activity will provide the opportunity for you to appraise a patient safety concern and the role of the nurse as a leader in creating change.
This activity directly supports course objectives 2, 3, and 8 in the syllabus and following AACN essentials for a prelicensure nursing Degree:

Mr. Marino is a 39-year-old man who has been followed by your practice for the last several years and is managed for diagnoses of bipolar depression, adjustment disorder, and PTSD. He has chronic pain as the result of a serious accident while he was serving in Afghanistan. He was in a vehicle explosion and has a left below-the-knee amputation, has had multiple back surgeries for extraction of foreign bodies and debris, lost one kidney in the accident, and now lives in chronic pain. He is seen by pain management and is on a plan that includes TENS therapy, physical therapy, epidural steroids, and chronic opioid management.
How can you optimize pharmacologic management of his psychiatric diagnoses to contribute to pain control? Assume you are starting with a blank slate for his PTSD, bipolar depression and adjustment disorder. Write the prescriiption you will issue, keeping the presence of comorbid pain. List a brief rationale for each pharmacologic choice. -

You may submit a 15 slide minimum (20 max) power point lecture on a specific topic of your choice (that is under the very large topic of world history pre-1500, including a “Big History” perspective). This assignment is worth up to 40 points.
When choosing a topic, you must be more specific in your coverage when covering a very large topic. For example, you may not do a lecture on the overall topic of China. But you can do a lecture on an aspect of Chinese history (a specific dynasty or the use of development of technology, etc).
I will not accept any biographies of individual people as a topic
Also, as of Fall 2015, with the permission of the student, I will choose one lecture, based on content, originality, style, and randomness to be enshrined in Sean’s HIST Power Point Hall of Fame for future students to view.
The following topics are part of the Hall of Fame and students may NOT do these same topics:
Bubonic Plague
Death of Chivalry
Ancient Civilizations and Climate Change
Before submitting this assignment, save your file as a power point file (.ppt or .ppx). Do not save it as a .key file or a .odp file, because I don’t know what those are or what opens them. Prezi presentations must be cleared with me in advance.
Be sure to include citations on each page or a final citation/bibliography slide.
If you turn in a power point that is all text, you will only get half credit, at best. -

Develop a solution to a specific ethical dilemma faced by a healthcare professional by applying ethical principles. Describe the issues and a possible solution in a 3-5 page paper.
Perhaps the most basic and important subject in the health care field is ethics. Remember Hippocrates and the Hippocratic Oath about doing no harm. This simple proposition, written sometime in the fifth century BC, is one of the oldest binding ethical documents in human history. Almost 100 percent of graduating health care professionals take an ethically based oath before they begin practice. The following links provide information about the codes of ethics of professional associations, government entities, and other organizations:American College of Healthcare Executives. Implicit Bias
Adverse patient outcomes occur when members of the health care team have implicit bias. According to the Joint Commission (2016):Implicit (subconscious) bias refers to the attitudes or stereotypes that affect our understanding, actions, and decisions in an unconscious manner. These biases, which encompass both favorable and unfavorable assessments, are activated involuntarily and without an individual’s awareness or intentional control (p. 1).Public Radio International (PRI) shares a story about how implicit bias can manifest itself in a health care screening, highlighting a specific situation for Asian Americans regarding Type 2 diabetes:Quinn, C.
