Workflow Analysis Paper
Workflow analysis is not an optional part of clinical implementations, but rather a necessity for safe patient care supported by technology. The ultimate goal of workflow analysis is not to “pave the cow path,” but rather to create a future-state solution that maximizes the use of technology and eliminates non–value-added activities. Apply concepts learned in chapter 13 to create a workflow analysis of a procedure common to your practice that can be supported with technology.
Review a current workflow diagram in your area or consider a process that needs a workflow diagram using technology. Ex: admission process to the emergency room
Diagram the workflow for the procedure you chose.
Have you included all of the steps?
Assess each of the steps in the diagram and determine if they are value-added steps or non-value-added steps. Is the non-value-added steps necessary—i.e., required by accreditors or by law?
Write a 2–4-page paper using APA 7th edition format describing the workflow process you have chosen. Describe the diagram you have created, what metrics are used to evaluate the workflow, what are the areas for improvement, and conclusion. Include a copy of the workflow diagram in the paper.
Locate the student sample paper and review for orientation to what is expected in this paper. DO NOT copy any part of this paper as it has been submitted to turn it in and will flag as plagiarism.

d. Etc., etc with other findings that fit Theme A; studies can be repeated if there are multiple findings that fit more than just one theme. However, no need to re-write methods/participants in detail (just enough to remind the reader about the study)

Discuss the classification of research methodologies used in nursing research.
Research methods used frequently in nursing can be classified in different ways. Discuss the classification of research methodologies used in nursing research.
Please include 400 words in your initial post and a scholarly reference. ANSWER
different classifications of research methodologies used in nursing research:
Quantitative research: This type of research uses numbers and statistics to collect and analyze data. It is often used to test hypotheses and to determine cause-and-effect relationships. Examples of quantitative research methods include surveys, experiments, and correlational studies. [1]
Qualitative research: This type of research uses words and images to collect and analyze data. It is often used to understand the experiences of people or to explore a phenomenon in depth. Examples of qualitative research methods include interviews, focus groups, and ethnography. [1]
Mixed methods research: This type of research combines quantitative and qualitative methods. It is often used to gain a more comprehensive understanding of a phenomenon. Examples of mixed methods research methods include sequential, concurrent, and embedded designs. [1]
Action research: This type of research is designed to improve practice. It is often used by nurses to develop and evaluate new interventions. Examples of action research methods include participatory action research and collaborative action research. [1]
Descriptive research: This type of research describes the characteristics of a population or phenomenon. It is often used to provide a foundation for further research. Examples of descriptive research methods include surveys and case studies. [1]
Exploratory research: This type of research is used to gain a better understanding of a phenomenon. It is often used when little is known about the topic. Examples of exploratory research methods include focus groups and interviews. [1]
Evaluative research: This type of research is used to evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention. It is often used to determine whether an intervention is meeting its goals. Examples of evaluative research methods include randomized controlled trials and quasi-experimental studies. [1]
The choice of research methodology will depend on the specific research question being asked, the purpose of the study, and the resources available. It is important to use the most appropriate methodology for the study in order to ensure that the results are valid and reliable.
