In the last week of this course, all RN-BSN students are required to present their Academic Service-Learning projects including a PowerPoint presentation. The content of the PowerPoint presentations should focus on the objectives of the academic service-learning project. This presentation is a requirement for the course.
Grading Criteria for PowerPoint Presentation
The highest potential points for the PowerPoint presentation are 25-points.
The student(s) must be present and contribute to the oral presentation.
The PowerPoint presentation should be attractive in terms of design, layout, neatness, and order. This includes a title page (1 slide), abstract of 150-200 words (1 slide), the body of text (10-12 slides), and a reference page (1-2 slides).
The abstract must be included as the second slide of the PowerPoint presentation.
Document all sources cited in APA format.
Your PPT should include 10-12 slides for the body of text that does not include the title and reference pages.
For online students, you must submit your PPT with a voice-over. All the students in the group voices must be present in the presentation.
All students’ names must appear on the title page.

This assignment will require you to take the PICO, 5 research articles and place them in a table for analysis. You will critique each article and identify the most important parts of the research, analysis, and findings.
Then you will summarize the articles by grading the research, and identifying gaps in the literature as well as possible interventions (see grading rubric and examples).
This will serve as the foundation for the work you will do in the Project/Practicum courses. As you work with your preceptor and finalize your capstone project, you will continue to build on this material. This assignment will be graded within 3-4 days of due date, with feedback provided once all grading has been completed. This assignment enables the learners to meet Course SLO #1, 2, 3, 4 Instructions:
Identify your PICO or research question of interest
Gather 5 research articles on your topic: be sure to save them and submit them along with the matrix; please make sure they are PDF documents.
Do not use clinical guidelines or Cochran Reviews, abstracts, future research reports or poster presentations. You can search for research only by indicating “research” when you do an advanced search. If you can’t answer a lot of the questions, it is probably not a research article. We do not recommend that you use more than one qualitative research article or systematic review or meta analysis. These are harder to evaluate because they have so much more information in them. Remember it is not individuals in these studies- it is the articles. Use the reference list in the systematic reviews or meta analyses to find individual studies that may be easier to understand and use.

Identify where there are issues with the articles and what gaps were not addressed with the research; be prepared this may change the way you look at your topic or may result in a slightly different direction for your area of interest. This is ok- that is what you want to accomplish with this assignment. It will really assist you as you move forward with your project.
For this assignment you will turn in the matrix tables, summary, references and pdf copies of your 5 articles. Key definitions:
Level of evidence (LOE): a hierarchical scale/method used to evaluate the level of evidence of the studies – such as Polit & Beck, Johns Hopkins, etc. This is described as Level 1 evidence, Level 2 evidence, etc. and is based on the study design – e.g. – an experimental RCT, quasi-experimental, non-experimental/descriiptive, etc.
Evaluation tool – used to measure the “quality” of the evidence: Multiple tools can be used to evaluate the strength and quality of the evidence found in the study. These are chosen based on the study design (RCT, quasi-experimental, etc.). You must provide the name/type of tool used to evaluate (e.g. CASP for RCT, Cincinnati Children’s for Case Control study, etc.) and provide the score you gave it (based on the tool used to grade – e.g. 11/11, 10/11…). Instrument: What type of instrument or tool was used in the article to Collect their Data? This could be a questionnaire like a depression screening tool, a nurse satisfaction tool, or the like. You should describe the instrument-including how many questions, type of scale/data (a Likert scale, yes/no questions or ?) the instrument’s reliability and validity – Cronbach’s Alpha, or other ways they determined (if any) the R/V of these instruments. The Recent pandemic has shown that there is a discrepancy in nurse staffing levels. It is critical that appropriate staffing must be maintained at all times, as it optimizes the overall quality of patient care, improvement in patient outcomes and satisfaction, and long-term cost containment.

Management is not necessarily against proper nurse staffing, however; there are copious obstacles to achieve it. The problem lies between managing the cost and budget of the hospital and providing adequate patient care. Assessment Descriiption
The first step of the evidence-based practice process is to evaluate a nursing practice environment to identify a nursing problem in the clinical area. When a nursing problem is discovered, the nurse researcher develops a clinical guiding question to address that nursing practice problem.
For this assignment, you will create a clinical guiding question know as a PICOT question. The PICOT question must be relevant to a nursing practice problem.
Use the “Literature Evaluation Table” to complete this assignment. Prior to starting the “Literature Evaluation Table,” complete the following:
Select a nursing practice problem of interest to use as the focus of your research. Start with the patient population and identify a clinical problem or issue that arises from the patient population.
Following the PICOT format, write a PICOT question in your selected area of interest. The PICOT question should be applicable to your proposed capstone project (the project students must complete during their final course in the RN-BSN program of study).
Conduct a literature search to locate six research articles focused on your selected nursing practice problem of interest. Note: This literature search should include three quantitative and three qualitative peer-reviewed research articles to support your nursing practice problem. A mixed methods article can qualify towards meeting a qualitative or quantitative methodology.
Articles must be published within the last 5 years, appropriate for the assignment criteria, and relevant to nursing practice.
The PICOT question and six peer-reviewed research articles you choose will be utilized for subsequent assignments. The PICOT question will also provide a framework for your capstone project.
Note: To assist in your search, remove the words qualitative and quantitative and include words that narrow or broaden your main topic. For example: Search for diabetes and pediatric and dialysis. To determine what research design was used in the articles the search produced, review the abstract and the methods section of the article. The author will provide a descriiption of data collection using qualitative or quantitative methods. Systematic reviews, literature reviews, and metanalysis articles are good resources and provide a strong level of evidence but are not considered primary research articles. Therefore, they should not be included in this assignment.
While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines

Surprised That Dominos Price Return Since Inception Better Than Google’s?
Google and Domino’s initial public offering (when they both started trading) were the same time.
But when you think of Domino’s as a growth company like Google, you probably wouldn’t expect that? Attached is the 10year cumulative return (just price, not including dividends). Now, being from New York originally I will say Dominos is by no means the best pizza.
Yet they are a logistics company that has leveraged technology. And yes, you could argue that they leverage Google’s location search as well as their digital advertising.

Pulmonary Function:
D.R. is a 27-year-old man, who presents to the nurse practitioner at the Family Care Clinic complaining of increasing SOB, wheezing, fatigue, cough, stuffy nose, watery eyes, and postnasal drainage—all of which began four days ago. Three days ago, he began monitoring his peak flow rates several times a day.
