It is key to use and apply the most current Evidence Based Clinical Guideline to demonstrate application to practice. You are providing the generic, foundational information in this area.

physiology & pathophysiology
levels of prevention: Define and discuss each level in relation to the health issue. It is important to discuss which level your patient in the case study is at. Provide examples.
Discuss screening related to the health issue.
Identify key areas of assessment related to the health issue
Pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment recommendations.
Diagnostic testing per most recent clinical guidelines.
Discuss how you will evaluate how the patient is doing (patient outcomes).
Case Study
Present a thorough narrative synopsis of the case, including: age, gender, employment status, CC, concise summary of PMH, HPI, current medications, pertinent available diagnostic and screening test results and insurance coverage. The patient’s treatment preferences, if known, are included.

Includes discussion of any further history questions that could have been asked for a more thorough history. This is an area you can develop to demonstrate your knowledge.

Case study includes a concise synopsis of the social history and what is known about the patient’s family, employment, etc. Includes a discussion of family assessment and what aspects of the patient’s family should be assessed in this instance. If needed, a descriiption of how the framework could be modified to guide practice for this clinical case is included.
