    Scenario/Summary
Manuel loved the outdoors and loved playing softball. There was no better way to spend a weekend than on the diamond hitting the ball and cooking burgers on the park grill.
“Hey Jose, great game this afternoon,” Manuel said to his friend.
“Yep,” Jose replied. “I loved how you hit the ball over that right fielder’s head. I think he is still running after it.”
“That was a lucky hit. I couldn’t do that again if I tried,” said Manuel.
“When is soup on? I’m getting hungry for one of your ¾ pound hamburgers with all of the fixings,” asked Jose.
“Soon brother, real soon,” said Manuel. “Can you hand me my Coke can on the bench other there?”
“Sure thing amigo,” replied Jose while handing the Coke can to Manuel.
“Yikes!” exclaimed Manuel after he spit out the Coke. “There was a bee in the can and it stung the roof of my mouth.”
Within a few minutes, Manuel developed generalized hives on his face and upper body and experienced shortness of breath and chest pains. The paramedics were called and quickly transported Manuel to the local emergency room where he was treated with epinephrine.
    Deliverables
Answer the following questions and save your responses in a Microsoft Word document. Provide a scholarly resource to support your answers.

    2. Briefly describe the different types of hypersensitivity reactions.
    3. What type of hypersensitivity reaction is Manuel likely experiencing and how do you know?
    4. Is this an antibody or T-cell mediated response? What class of antibodies or type of T-cells are involved?
    5. Why was epinephrine administered and how does epinephrine work in this case?

This discussion focuses on naming conventions of medical terms. This information is beneficial in learning more about word roots, modifiers, and word origins. This will help lay a foundation for exploration of other body systems and will help strengthen skills in learning and associating terms and definitions.
    Answer the following:
Select one bone and one muscle from this unit.
More complicated names provide better opportunity for exploration.
Make every effort to avoid duplicating structures selected by others.
Translate the bone and muscle names.
Provide rationale for the translation of the bone and muscle.
Example: Quadratus Lumborum – Quad means 4 / Lumborum means Lumbar Region or Lower Back. The translated version of this name is the “Four Sided Muscle of the Lower Back”.
Explain how understanding roots and origins of medical terms is helpful in the building of terminology skills.
Please be sure to validate your opinions and ideas with citations and references in APA format.

choose one of your main variables and write an operational definition. Read Chapter 2 and 3 Selecting a Research Question and Reviewing the Literature, before you start.
The first Main Assignment is a short description of your topic of interest and a possible research question. A research question has to be testable, so each variable has to be operationally defined.
An operational definition of memory loss, for example, would be less than 75% from pretest baseline on the Memory Inventory (Smith, 2000).
What is an operational definition of one of your variables?

The question is: Any thoughts which (portion) of bone was cut and moved?
My daughter Lena (age 20) was a full time athlete (alpine ski racing), but after 8 surgeries in only 4 years, she decided to “retire” from full time ski racing!
Both Lena and my husband Wolfgang have “loose joints” (hypermobile), related to collagen in their connective tissues. Wolfgang has had 5 shoulder surgeries and Lena has had 3, due to constant shoulder dislocations when playing sports.
They both had one particular surgery that is described below. The surgery worked for Wolfgang, but unfortunately for Lena, she will need a repeat surgery (now with cadaver tissue) at some point in the future (but is holding out as long as she can!)
During the surgery the surgeon cut a “process” off of a bone and transferred it with muscle attachments to the anteroinferior rim of the glenoid. This replaces the missing area of glenoid (missing from constant dislocations), and the muscle attachments help to stabilize the joint. Remember that the glenoid is the cavity (“socket”) on the scapula that articulates with the superior head of the humerus (“ball”).
I need the question answered, you can out source but make sure to cite this needs to be an essay response. Also the correct surgery is below to help.
The surgery was a Latarjet procedure, during which they cut a portion of the coracoid process of the scapula (!) and transfer it (with muscle attachments) to the glenoid (anteroinferior rim) of the scapula. This replaces the missing area of glenoid, and the muscle attachments on the coracoid help to stabilize the joint.
