During the prenatal stages, incredible growth and development takes place.
1. What are two environmental maternal factors (negative or positive) that you feel most impact this critical period of development?
2. Suggest two (2) strategies to encourage a pregnant mom to reduce negative environmental maternal risk factors.
You must make your initial response before seeing the postings of others.
You are required to post an initial response and two responses to what classmates have posted (a total of three postings). Also – be sure to post on at least two different days! Posting on two differnet days allows for the discussion to work much more like a conversation and less like an assignment where you view the informaiton and think about it at only one point in time.
Replies to classmates for this topic should follow this format: Use the 3CEQ framework to craft your replies – This stands for Compliment, Comment, Connection, Example, & Question. For each reply, you will:
First find an aspect of their post that you can compliment,
then you will make a comment about the post,
then draw a connection (to your post, to your life, to the life of someone you know, to something that you have previously read, to information in the textbook that was not mentioned, etc.).
Also, make sure that you are providing a concrete example – this can be mentioned in the comment and tied in together.
Finally, you will include a question – this helps to drive the discussion further. please I just need 70 words -

Describe a specific research idea and how you would go about studying that idea.
Instructions from the professor below:
This week, we are learning about developing a research study. It is important to operationally define your variables so that you can accurately observe and measure them. Describe a specific research idea and how you would go about studying that idea. Remember to include the variables involved, a potential hypothesis, possible methods, and the statistical tests needed to analyze your data. Find a published article in a research journal to support your idea.
To identify the journal or journals you browse, you can use “library services” or journal websites to see what recent topics have been discussed in journals.
Some journals you may look at include: American Journal of Psychology, Behavioral and Brain Sciences, British Journal of Psychology, Evolution and Human Behavior, Journal of Abnormal Psychology, Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology of Addictive Behaviors, Behavior Research and Therapy, Psychopharmacology, Behavioral Pharmacology, European Journal of Neuroscience, Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Journal of Experimental Psychology, Learning and Memory, Neuropharmacology -

Overview: In this assignment, you will review assessment scores and interpret data regarding content scales, symptom scales, and settings. You will also provide possible diagnoses and explanations. You will be applying knowledge of previously learned statistics to the interpretation of tests. In the final project, you will be provided with similar statistics that you will need to interpret in a similar manner, answering the referral question. Prompt: For this worksheet, you will read the following scenario, and interpret specific data regarding content scales, symptom scales, and settings. Additionally, you will answer five follow-up questions about this information. In the Conners Comprehensive Behavior Rating Scales self-report, any t-score over a 55 is considered “clinically significant,” with scores over 65 being “very elevated.” Examine the data below and answer the following questions. This data is a self-report for a 14-year-old Caucasian male who recently transferred to a new school. Although he has had some academic difficulties in the past, he is failing most subjects this year. He presents with a depressed mood most days and states that “learning is hard.” The follow-up questions will ask you to identify which content scales are considered “very elevated” and which content scales are considered “clinically significant,” but not “very elevated”. You will also be asked to identify in which settings the symptoms appear. Lastly, you will need to explain possible diagnoses based on “very elevated” interpretation and provide two plausible explanations of why this individual is having a difficult year.

To conclude the course, you have the opportunity to choose a topic of interest t
To conclude the course, you have the opportunity to choose a topic of interest to you and analyze it from a social psychological perspective. You will then write a literature review (see Bem, 2016), which is a scholarly paper, written in an objective and academic tone, focused on a particular subject. To do this, you must gather, review, and summarize relevant theory and research.
For example, if you chose to examine a proverb, such as “Opposites attract,” you would first find scholarly articles outlining the major predictors of attraction and testing this notion specifically. Begin your paper with a clear stance on the topic—yes, opposites do attract, or no, they do not—and then present the evidence in an organized fashion to support your thesis.
The topic of your literature review might come from the following list, or you may choose to identify a different area of interest. Scan your textbook for relevant concepts to explore. However, if you choose something other than the options below, you are encouraged to obtain permission from your instructor prior to writing/submitting the paper to ensure the suitability of your topic.
Here are some ideas you might choose to explore:
Accuracy of proverbs
Example: “Don’t judge a book by its cover” or “Beauty is a good letter of introduction.” In other words, what can one conclude based on appearance alone?
Example: “Absence makes the heart grow fonder” or “Out of sight, out of mind.” In other words, do long distances or extended amounts of time strengthen relationship ties, or weaken them?
Example: “Birds of a feather flock together” or “Opposites attract.” In other words, are people attracted to similar or dissimilar others?
Impact of titles/labels
Example: How do team mascots (such as the Redskins or Braves) impact Native Americans (self-esteem, stereotype threat, etc.)?
Example: How do labels (such as smart/stupid, crazy or criminal, etc.) impact people’s mental processes and behaviors?
Altruism
Example: Does true altruism exist? What motivates people to help?
Explanatory style
Example: Do optimists experience better life outcomes than pessimists?
Persuasive appeals
Example: How do political campaigns utilize various techniques?
Self-esteem
Example: Is there a dark side? Can one be too confident?
School size
Example: Do students fare better in big schools or small schools? Why?
Reactance
Example: What is the theory behind “reverse psychology”?
Gender differences
Example: in aggression, sex, etc.
A form of prejudice
Example: fat prejudice, racial prejudice, etc.
Psychology and the law
Example: jury behavior, etc.
Other: If you have something else in mind, contact your instructor as soon as possible to ensure the topic is appropriate and to seek additional direction.
In your paper,
Analyze the social psychological literature for evidence that supports your thesis, providing a Synthesis of your findings. Be sure to dispel refuting evidence.
Illustrate specific social psychological concepts using real life examples.
Examine relevant situational factors.
Identify social and cultural forces at work.
Indicate potential ethical considerations in research on this topic or application of insight.
The final paper
Must be seven double-spaced pages at minimum (not including title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA Style as outlined in the Writing Center’s APA Style resource.
Must include a separate title page with the following:
Title of paper
Student’s name
Course name and number
Instructor’s name

For further assistance with the formatting and the title page, refer to APA Formatting for Microsoft Word.
Must utilize academic voice. See the Academic Voice resource for additional guidance.

For assistance on writing Introductions & Conclusions as well as Writing a Thesis Statement, refer to the Writing Center resources.
Must use at least five peer-reviewed scholarly sources in addition to the course text.
The Scholarly, Peer-Reviewed, and Other Credible Sources table offers additional guidance on appropriate source types. If you have questions about whether a specific source is appropriate for this assignment, please contact your instructor. Your instructor has the final say about the appropriateness of a specific source for a particular assignment.
