In assigned groups, identify a case of a young girl “Akeelah” from the movie Akeelah and the Bee. Develop a case example with a case conceptualization and detailed treatment plan with specific treatment goals and objectives, and techniques. Upload and share your treatment plan. Be prepared to discuss your treatment plan. Describe the theoretical perspective of the case (or integration of theories) in a thorough case formulation, specify treatment goals, and outline a detailed treatment plan. Include a descriiption of a series of suggested play counseling treatment interventions/techniques and course of treatment.

For this assignment, you will be required to create your own study guides (e.g., PowerPoints, Prezi lectures, Quizlets, or flashcards) based on the chapter and article readings assigned that week.

As we have discussed in this course, culture plays a large role in how we define and treat mental disorders. Write a 2 page paper on depression and the role that culture plays in the prevalence, diagnosis, understanding (cause), and treatment.
