Answer the question based on your own understanding of the subject matter

This is a three-page paper on varsity sports in U.S. schools. The paper should focus on sociological issues such as gender equity, gender relations, race or ethnic relations, peer group relations, the culture and social organization of social life at the school, the experiences of athletes, coach-athlete relationships, media coverage, the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion in social life at the school, the experiences of “nonathletes” or those who play non-varsity sports, etc.

The paper may be organized around your (sociological) interests, but it is important to consider one or two of the following topics in your paper:
Gender equity and/or gender relations (on the court, in the stands, coach-athlete relations)
Race or ethnic relations (racial and ethnic make-up of team, fans, etc.; who sits with whom and who talks with whom?)
Peer group relations (cliques, groups, friendships; interaction at halftime, during the game, cheering)
How the social activity in the stands represents the culture and social organization of social life at the school?
Social class issues in the stands or related to participation in the sport
Sports and popularity in the student culture at the school (for males, for females)
The experiences of athletes (if you can talk with athletes after the game or apart from the game, ask them about their experiences and how they fit with the overall experience of going to school, related with other students, teachers, etc. Is there hazing on the team, and if so, what does it involve? What commitments do students have to make to play on the sport team?)
Coach-athlete relationships (autocratic or democratic, positive or negative, coach behavior with players, extent to which players make decisions or control the game)
Media coverage (compared to other varsity sports and other schools)
The dynamics of inclusion and exclusion in social life at the school, the experiences of “nonathletes” or those who play non-varsity sports. Do varsity sports contribute to social unity in the school or do they create divisions? Is there bullying in the school, and are athletes involved?
Cheerleaders and pep club (what they do, when, responses to them; how they define their experiences; criteria for being a cheerleader or pep club member)
Spectators, including parents, other students, and teachers (talk with them if possible and ask them how they see varsity sports fitting into the school; ask them if they would rather see more inclusive programs related to lifetime sports for more students)
Information from student spectators (What brings them to the game? What do they enjoy most? When is it most exciting or boring? What other sports do they attend or play? What would change if there were no varsity sports? Do they have intramural sports? How do athletes and other students get along?)
Information from teachers (How do they see sports fitting in to the overall educational experiences of students?)
For college sports: Funding issues, attitudes related to the use of student fees to support the program; all the above issues also
Other issues:

Who in the school benefits the most or the least from varsity sports?
Would anyone like to see alternatives to varsity sports? What alternatives might they want to see?

You have an outcome oriented athlete, Terry, who is injured early in the season. Unfortunately, the injury is pretty severe and Terry will miss at least half of the season. Based on our discussion of goal orientations, how do you think Terry will respond to the injury psychologically? How motivated will he/she be through the rehabilitation process?
Given that you can address this issue from multiple angles, I would create a list of reasons why Terry would be motivated (bullet list) and then a list of the reasons why he/she wouldn’t be (bullet list).

Document 2: Reflective Paper (60 points)
You will write a paper reflecting upon your educational experiences within your psychology program journey, using the Program Goals as an organizational paradigm. That means you will organize your paper using the Goals. The body of the paper will be organized into sections corresponding to the Goals. This paper should include thoughts regarding successes and challenges, new insights, and personal transformations. This should be at a deep level rather than a surface mention. You must address each of the Program Goals, which are displayed below, and discuss how you have specifically met that goal, referencing courses, papers and concepts.
Organize the Reflective Paper by the Program Goals and use headings per the APA Manual.
List the Program Goal verbatim (with proper citation) and then address each component to receive maximum points.
The Reflective Paper will be 6 to 10 pages, double-spaced, not including the expected title and reference pages. APA Style is expected and you must reference yourself when quoting from past papers.
Only academic/scholarly sources should be used. Avoid common, general reference websites like Wikipedia, Psychology Today, or Verywell Minded.

Craft a current, accurate, and professional-appearing resume or curriculum vitae. Which you choose to present depends on your aspirations. Resumes tend to be competency-based, designed to be a marketing document that showcases your skills, achievements, and work experiences [1]. They tend to run 1-2 pages in length. A curriculum vitae is credential-based and is most often composed for jobs in academic, medical fields, or research. They provide a comprehensive, detailed, accounting of one’s education, certifications, research experience, and professional memberships and affiliations [2]. Due to their purpose (an explanation of credentials), curriculum vitae can easily exceed the 1-2 pages.
Your document should reflect your professional experience and be presented in a clean, orderly fashion, consistent with resume/vitae practices.

O*NET OnLine has detailed descriiptions of the world of work, designed for use by job seekers, HR professionals, students, researchers, and more! Here you can find detailed descriiptions of jobs (requirements, duties performed, education requirements, future outlooks, and links to parallel work).

Depending on your post-UMGC studies aspirations, choose either the Employment or the Advanced Studies option to complete. Journal 7: Essay on Understanding Cancer and treatments
To complete this essay you will need to watch all of the videos in this folder and read the section on cancer and treatment of cancer in your book.
This journal changes each semester as more and more research is done and our understanding of cancer continues to expand. There are a series of videos that must be watched in order to write this journal. I should know that you watched the videos based on what you write in these responses.

Avoiding Harm and Imposing Values, and another 2 specific codes of the writer’s choices that pertain to the case in the rough publish) from the American Counseling Associations Code of Ethics (link I put in this order).

Highlighted in yellow is more important, you can choose any disorder it just has to be a more specific disorder under the general category (If you choose to write about an anxiety disorder be more specific and write about social anxiety. Schizophrenia is the only one that doesn’t have a specific category) For the film, if you can think of any previous movies you’ve watched that can be applied here that’d be great. If you have to go out of your way to watch or research a film we can discuss more in detail.
