Conclude your two page APA formatted paper by providing your hypothesis as to why this person became a serial killer. Include a reference page with your paper.

For this discussion, take the factors that affect a test’s utility into consideration, which was identified in your Psychological Testing and Assessment text as:
    Psychometric soundness.
    Costs.
    Benefits.
In addition, take into account practical considerations when conducting utility analyses, which include:
    The pool of applicants.
    The complexity of the job.
    The use of cut scores.
In considering these things, this week’s discussion asks you to identify three specific measures for a management assessment center addressing selection, placement, promotion, and career training. Follow the guidelines below in your post:
Identify a specific instrument for each of the following areas:
    Ability or aptitude testing.
    Occupational career or interests.
    Personality.
Discuss one advantage and one disadvantage in selecting these tests for the battery.
Identify at least one issue regarding factors of utility and utility analysis with this battery of tests.
Include how you would evaluate the effectiveness of incorporating your measures into this battery. How would you determine that the three tests are adequate for addressing the purposes of selection, placement, promotion, and career training?
Include if and how computerized assessment could be incorporated into your battery or evaluation.

Please NUMBER and answer the questions in your initial post.
    1. Describe a smell that causes you to have strong emotional
memories. Explain the process in the nervous system that allows
    this to occur.
    2. In what ways would your life change if you lost your hearing?
    3. If your biological parents had Huntington’s disease, would you
want to know if they passed the dominant allele to you? Why or
    why not?
    STEP 1
You must read the slides for Shapiro chapters 6, 7, 8 BEFORE posting in this discussion.
You should also read and annotate those chapters in Shapiro or Noba (see Noba notes in this module for the corresponding chapters).
You need to use the terms covered in the material above when talking about the senses in your discussion below.
Show me that you understand the chapters and can apply the concepts when talking about your own experiences. This is part of the points for this discussion.
    TOPICS:
Describe a smell that causes you to have strong emotional memories. Explain the process in the nervous system that allows this to occur.
In what ways would your life change if you lost your hearing?
If your biological parents had Huntington’s disease, would you want to know if they passed the dominant allele to you? Why or why not?
Here is a sample initial post:
    1) Describe a smell that causes you to have strong emotional memories. Explain the process in the nervous system that allows this to occur.
I have a visceral reaction to pizza, especially deep-dish pizza. When I had to go through chemotherapy, I was nauseated for the first 10-14 days after each chemo session. I could not hold down any food. My spouse decided to get deep-dish pizza during one of these times. Every time they heated up the leftover pizza in the microwave, the strong smell would fill the house. Random smells made me nauseous during chemo. To this day, I do not like/enjoy pizza the same way that I used to.
(insert the process the NS allows this to occur) *not writing this as it is similar for each person.
    2) In what ways would your life change if you lost your hearing?
I think it would be a very isolating experience to lose your hearing. I once read that blind people can still be very social in society because they hear everything that is going on around them and they can participate. Blind people can still speak to communicate. When you are deaf, you can feel left out when you do not know what others are saying or doing around you. Everything is silent and it is as if you do not speak the same language. For example, others do not speak ASL. I watched this one documentary called Sound and Fury (2000). It was about deaf culture and how some of them do not want to get a cochlear implant to gain hearing. They are proud of their deaf culture.
    3) If your biological parents had Huntington’s disease, would you want to know if they passed the dominant allele to you? Why or why not?
Yes, I would want to know whether I would develop Huntington’s disease in my 40’s. The earlier for me to know, the better because then I would not have kids. I do not want to pass this genetic disease to them. It would make their life hard and my life hard as well. This world does not need more people anyway. We are overpopulated. I always want to know as much as I can so that I can make educated decisions and I am more prepared for the future.

Learning Goal: I’m working on a psychology writing question and need the explanation and answer to help me learn.
In a 1- to 2-page paper, respond to the following:
Explain how and why your choices differed in Situations 1 and 2.
Explain why it is important to use research and evidence to support your practice decisions.

Answer the following questions, using your textbook and at least 1 additional credible resource you choose:
    1. What is stress? What kind of health problems can stress cause? What research finding about the effects of stress was most surprising to you?
    2. In the video listed below, Evelyn releases stress through aggression and appears to experience a catharsis, or emotional release. Although the video is fictional and meant to be humorous, it has often been suggested that releasing aggression, relieves aggression (termed the catharsis hypothesis). However, not all researchers agree with this idea today. Which side do you agree with and why?
    3. What is the difference between problem-focused and emotion-focused coping? Apply an example of how Evelyn could utilize these coping strategies in a more adaptive way to reduce stress.
    4. Describe tools for reducing stress as described in the textbook. What is your favorite stress management strategy?
    5. Discuss cultural differences in the ways people respond to and manage stress.
    Watch the following embedded video:
(Disclaimer: Nobody is suggesting this as a means to release anger or stress in real life, it is simply a frame of reference as an example of “catharsis” through aggressive acts).
Include 1 original post (at least 2-4 paragraphs* in length). *Each paragraph should consist of 3-5 sentences.
Reply to 2 or more peers (at least 1 paragraph each) in which you expand on the conversation, pose other thoughts, and ask questions to facilitate discussion.
Post on at least 2 separate days of the week (to encourage a discussion & exchange of ideas).
Integrate at least 3 PARAPHRASED terms, concepts, or facts from the TEXTBOOK in original post.
Include APA in-text citations and references for both the textbook AND any additional resources used. (Note, additional resources are NOT a replacement for the textbook requirement).
See Grading Rubric in the Course Content> Course Documents folder for further evaluation criteria.

Student, clearly and thoughtfully, identified relational/personal factors that may influence each theme. Student utilized 7th edition APA student format. Student included appropriate citations and references. The paper was within page requirement. Paper was clear and logical, grammatically correct with minimal spelling errors.
