Activity 3: Serial Killer Biographical paper – This week the focus is on Albert Fish. You should watch “Investigative Reports Secret life of a serial killer” or the “The Real Life Hannibal Lecters” which has 6 parts on youtube (you may also want to watch some of the other youtube videos on him) also do some outside research (internet and/or other books) then indicate whether the person meets each of the criteria below. For each point that is relevant, indicate what information you found and where you found it (i.e., if you find evidence that Fish had “sexual problems” what were they, how do you think they developed and where did you find the information). Conclude your two page APA formatted paper by providing your hypothesis as to why this person became a serial killer. Include a reference page with your paper.

I have a visceral reaction to pizza, especially deep-dish pizza. When I had to go through chemotherapy, I was nauseated for the first 10-14 days after each chemo session. I could not hold down any food. My spouse decided to get deep-dish pizza during one of these times. Every time they heated up the leftover pizza in the microwave, the strong smell would fill the house. Random smells made me nauseous during chemo. To this day, I do not like/enjoy pizza the same way that I used to.

2) In what ways would your life change if you lost your hearing?
I think it would be a very isolating experience to lose your hearing. I once read that blind people can still be very social in society because they hear everything that is going on around them and they can participate. Blind people can still speak to communicate. When you are deaf, you can feel left out when you do not know what others are saying or doing around you. Everything is silent and it is as if you do not speak the same language. For example, others do not speak ASL. I watched this one documentary called Sound and Fury (2000). It was about deaf culture and how some of them do not want to get a cochlear implant to gain hearing. They are proud of their deaf culture.
3) If your biological parents had Huntington’s disease, would you want to know if they passed the dominant allele to you? Why or why not?
Yes, I would want to know whether I would develop Huntington’s disease in my 40’s. The earlier for me to know, the better because then I would not have kids. I do not want to pass this genetic disease to them. It would make their life hard and my life hard as well. This world does not need more people anyway. We are overpopulated. I always want to know as much as I can so that I can make educated decisions and I am more prepared for the future.

Political attitudes are very resistant to change. Two modern venue that people “discuss” politics are Facebook and Twitter. Please discuss the nature of political discourse on these venues focusing on only one politically loaded attitude (with examples as appropriate). Is the discourse likely to change attitudes or not and why?

Students will utilize content and questions from the Aponte & Kissil (2014) article as well as other course content to identify, describe some of their signature theme(s), and discuss the factors (family relationships, race, cultural, socioeconomic status, religion, etc.) that may contribute to the theme(s). should keep in mind signature themes are not events, but “…personal patterns of feeling, thinking and/or relating that you experience as challenges to your function and relating as you would want”(Aponte & Kissil, 2014, p.164). Student clearly identified and described theme(s) clearly. Student clearly demonstrated introspection and use of course content related to POTT in identifying and describing their theme. Student, clearly and thoughtfully, identified relational/personal factors that may influence each theme. Student utilized 7th edition APA student format. Student included appropriate citations and references. The paper was within page requirement. Paper was clear and logical, grammatically correct with minimal spelling errors.
Question 1 answer. Failing in my career 2. Ashamed of where i come from. I try not to talk about how i grew up and what my family did to keep us safe. 3. Yes im not a person that trusts others even though i know that they are good for me. My past doesn’t allow me to love a person without having my walls up i reject them and stay away from them. I push them out of my life to the point that they are only my friends and not in a relationship. 4. I drink at times, cry myself to sleep when my kids are sleeping, and i eat chocolate a lot even though i don’t like chocolate that way. 5. yes i start a relationship and i become a self-center person that starts to push my partner around to do what i want when i want and if dont like it i take it upon my hands to do it and then i hold a grudge for a long time until i feel that i do not want to anymore. Another thing is that i had babies with my last 5 relationships and they left me after i told them i was pregnant and 3 out of 4 were in the military. so i need to stay away from dating them, soldiers.

The toy will be Zingo Bingo. Using the lifespan and development book attached as well as other resources in apa format.
